Real Life. Real People. Real Stories.
What's Yours?
In an ongoing series called
Real Life. Real People. Real Stories. What’s Yours?
we will highlight some of the patient success stories we are most proud
of in our 20 years of providing physical therapy services.
The program will include promotional mailings, newspaper
articles, and detailed information in this special section of our
website.
Harriet and Richard are Energetic!
The
program kicks off with the profiling of one of our more active patient
couples, Harriet and Richard McClish.
This couple has worked with many of our therapists through the
years and both have repeatedly turned to Circleville Physical Therapy
for ongoing care and to recover from surgery, chronic pain and repeated
injuries. They are strong
believers in the importance of physical therapy and the contributions
our therapists have made to allow them to maintain such an active
lifestyle. Their story also
includes many examples of other family members who have benefitted from
physical therapy.
Some
might say retirement for this couple has never been busier.
From their extensive volunteerism within our community, to the
many indoor and outdoor projects in progress at their home, to their
many traveling adventures through the years, this couple has not let
injury or illness get in their way … and they give much of the credit to
their physical therapy. Click on
the links below for their very interesting story.

Charlie is Determined to Succeed.
The second in our series profiles one of our more challenging patients,
Charlie Rhodes. This
patient has worked with many of our therapists since coming to
Circleville Physical Therapy to recover from major surgery which
resulted in a loss of many basic functions, including the ability to
walk and think and speak clearly.
Having
been an active part of the community as a businessman, friend and family
member, upon release from the hospital and then a long term care
facility, Charlie and his family began looking for the right therapists
to help him with the long road ahead of ongoing healing. They were
searching for a physical therapist partner that would offer intense
therapy of all types and when he rolled up to Circleville Physical
Therapy in a wheelchair with his sister in tow, his first words to Rick
Bergman, PT, were “I want to walk”.
Rick and the entire staff accepted the challenge and have made
Charlie their project.
“It was important for my therapists to know that I had to fix the whole
picture,” Charlie notes.
“If we could deal with the physical issues, then I was sure that the
rest, like talking and thinking clearly, would come too and I would be
able to fully return to my life.”
While two years later Charlie’s journey isn’t over, he has made
remarkable strides. And, he
talks about how fun it is to see what his body can now do and how far it
can recover from such a devastating injury that came out of nowhere.
“My next 50 years will be healthier than my first 50,” he
exclaims. “And Circleville
Physical Therapy will be the reason!” Click on the links
